Plant Bioinformatics Resources for FAIR Agricultural Data Discovery and Reuse Workshop - ASPB 2024

AgBioData will be at the Plant Biology 2024 Conference in Honolulu (HI)! We will have

  • the Plant Bioinformatics Resources for FAIR Agricultural Data Discovery and Reuse workshop on Saturday, June 22, at 10 AM (US/Hawaii time).
  • the exhibitor booth #406 where you can meet our member database resources and learn more about AgBioData and FAIR data management.

Workshop description:

Title: "Plant Bioinformatics Resources for FAIR Agricultural Data Discovery and Reuse"

Location: Meeting Room 312
Date: Sunday, June 11, 10 AM (US/Hawaii time)
Duration: 2 hours

About

The workshop is presented by members of the AgBioData Consortium (www.agbiodata.org), which comprises over 44 Genetic, Genomic and Breeding (GGB) databases and more than 200 scientists, fostering collaborations and open discussions about the common practices, challenges and solutions to big data agricultural research. This workshop will introduce and update plant biologists to various digital bioinformatics resources, such as community databases, data repositories, online bioinformatics tools, and knowledge bases that provide equitable access to structured, integrated data and analytic tools. These resources will enable researchers to generate hypotheses, design experiments, and analyze data more quickly.
